But this isn't just about a number, it's about how I feel - and I feel like a little exercise wouldn't be a bad thing. So I started slowly a couple weeks ago - but not at a gym because I'm not really a gym guy. I started on a stairmaster, sort of.And since I don't own one, I use the stairs in my own house - I sprint up, walk down, sprint up, walk down - you get the idea. And I've started doing sit ups - and I hate sit ups. In fact I hate exercising in general, but I'm slowly starting to not mind it so much.
Baby steps...start with anything.

Hey, Sam -- funny you're starting this now. I was gonna get my BIL (brother-in-law) and his fiancee a cooking class for a wedding or shower gift. But 5 weeks before the wedding, my 36-yr-old BIL had an emergency quad bypass. He doesn't smoke and he's not overweight, it's just genes and hi-cholesterol in this case. Anyways.... I noticed that a lot of your class recipes call for butter, creamy substances, etc.... and since he won't eat that way anymore, how great it would be if you had a class or two geared only toward more healthy fare.... you do have recipes on your site and that you've cooked on the show that are more on the healthy side.... how about sharing a class full of them?
Hey Sam! Ok, so I was at the Harrah's show and I kind of "hugged" you for a picture. I'm not sure where your "extra" weight is, but hey, whatever you need to do to stay healthy and keep cooking for us! Kudos to you for hitting those stairs. I'll hang with ya and hit some stairs of my own, so I can keep cooking those recipes of yours!
